Time Travel Thursday #112 & Talented Time Travelers #111

"We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams."
~Jeremy Irons~

Welcome to the 112th Time Travel Thursday linky party at The Brambleberry Cottage!

Are you ready to share your fondest memories,
grandest dreams, and most creative projects? Great!

You know the routine!  Gotta show off some creativity from
our talented time travelers from last week first.

Although my Yankee is not too keen on
having a lot of feminine touches around the cottage,
he doesn't seem to mind when they're part of a pretty tablescape,
like this one by Michele @ the nest at finch rest.

The concept of constructing a shed from
salvaged materials is not a new one.

But this quaint potting shed, shared by
Penny @ Penny's Vintage Home, has an interesting twist
on that concept.  Her components came from all over the U.S.A.   ; )

If you've been a DIYer for any length of time,
you've probably experienced the "what am I going to do with THIS" blues.

That was the very dilemma Carrie @ Hooked on Decorating
faced with this drum table—before she decided to give it
a gorgeous stencil makeover.

This charming dining room is the result of a
little "sprucing up" by Katie Sue @ Let's Add Sprinkles.

The paint color she chose for the walls—Martha Stewart's Driftwood—creates
the perfect backdrop for her lovely furnishings.

Since so many of the projects around The Brambleberry Cottage
are a collaborative effort between The Yankee and me,
it's always fun to see the work of other husband & wife teams.

This gorgeous table, by Paul and Cathy @ One Creative Couple, is proof positive
that two creative minds working in unison is a beautiful thing.

So what have you been up to this week?

Time Travel Thursday #111 & Talented Time Travelers #110

"We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams."
~Jeremy Irons~

Welcome to the 111th Time Travel Thursday linky party at The Brambleberry Cottage!

Are you ready to share your fondest memories,
grandest dreams, and most creative projects? Great!

First, let's travel back to last week's party, and take a gander at some
of the creativity linked by our talented time travelers.

What is it about fairy houses that
capture the imagination?  Their
diminutive size?  The quaint details?

Whatever it is, the appeal is magnified when placed
 amid beautiful blooms like those
in the garden of Laura @ Cottage and Broome

I don't use red much in my home décor, but I
was totally twitterpated with this gorgeous piece
 from Kathy @ Petticoat Junction.

With milk paint and wax in hand, she transformed her
vintage cabinet into a real showstopper

It's so ironic that in the past few years chalk paint
has taken the DIY world by storm.  Children saw the potential of chalk as
a creative medium long before we adults ever caught on.   ; )

Angela @ A TYPICAL ENGLISH HOME capitalized
on the transforming power of chalk paint to put together
the perfect outdoor, artistic canvas for her kiddos.

I'm quite a button nut and have a
fairly large collection stashed here and there.

Needless to say, when I saw the quaint craftings by
Jade @ There Was a Crooked House, I knew I'd be following her lead and
using some of my surplus for pretty paperclips and magnets.

Margaret @ Chantilly Charm definitely turned the heat up on
an old picture frame she had just hangin' around.   ; )

By adding a piece of wood she painted with chalkboard
paint, she created a piece that really rocks in red!

OK, now how can you WOW us this week?!

Time Travel Thursday #110 & Talented Time Travelers #109

"We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams."
~Jeremy Irons~

Welcome to the 110th Time Travel Thursday linky party at The Brambleberry Cottage!

Are you ready to share your fondest memories,
grandest dreams, and most creative projects? Great!

Of course, we've got to pay tribute to a handful of
our talented time travelers from last week's party first.

Decoupaged book pages were used to turn
a badly chipped urn into an artsy container for seashells.

It's just one of the many
gorgeous projects displayed in the studio
of Kristie @ MARKET NINE home.

When confronted with a few flaws on her Restore score,
Leslie @ House on the Way decided to just work with the imperfections.

With the simple floral design on a pillow as her inspiration,
she set about to create a one-of-a-kind looking glass
to display above a bench.

Mission accomplished, Leslie!

Barn quilts are quite popular in the rural areas
that surround me.  As a matter of fact, for some time now, I've been taking pictures
of the ones I find so that I can share them with you.

If you'd like to make one of your own,
be sure to visit the Cranky Puppy Farm for step by step instructions.

Now go ahead and WOW us this week!   ; )

Time Travel Thursday #109 & Talented Time Travelers #108

"We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams."
~Jeremy Irons~

Welcome to the 109th Time Travel Thursday linky party at The Brambleberry Cottage!

Are you ready to share your fondest memories,
grandest dreams, and most creative projects? Great!

Gotta give a big thumbs up to some of our
talented time travelers from last week, first.

Laura @ THE IRONSTONE NEST took
her dark, dated kitchen from drab to totally fab!

And if you like before and afters as much as I do,
you'll want to be sure to surf around Laura's place
for more of her terrific transformations.

I always marvel at the intricacies of creation
Don't you wish you could complete your home projects
as quickly as a spider does?   ; )

And I love the description given to the webs,
caught on camera by Debra @ HOMESPUN
fairies spinning yarn overnight.

Trash-to-treasure transformations
are some of my favorites.  Why?  I love roadside rescues—something
destined for the dump that is given new life.

The dresser, shown above, was the third
such rescue for Kimberly @ Serendipity Refined.
Thumbs up, Kimberly!

As you float around the blogosphere, you see straw hats
decorating just about everything—doors, walls, chairs.

Anita @ CEDAR HILL RANCH used a collection to embellish
her beautiful basket.

Utterly charming!

Some of the most economical, attractive, and creative
sources for decorating come from nature.

This pretty seed-pod star, crafted by SweetPepperRose, is a
perfect case in point.

Now show us what you've been doing with your creativity this week.

Time Travel Thursday #108 & Talented Time Travelers #107

"We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories.
Some take us forward, they're called dreams."
~Jeremy Irons~

Welcome to the 108th Time Travel Thursday linky party at The Brambleberry Cottage!

Are you ready to share your fondest memories,
grandest dreams, and most creative projects? Great!

First, let's take a peek at some of the creative endeavors
linked to last week's party by our talented time travelers.

Jen at City Farmhouse provided a plethora of
pretty pictures for her lovely dining-room reveal.

From the gorgeous fabric on the slipcovered chairs,
to the beautiful built-in filled with fabulous finds, the room
 exudes a sophisticated, farmhouse charm.

The Shabby Gals worked their magic on this tiny table.
It's quite a quaint little number now,
isn't it?   ; )

I'm really not much of a crafter, in the typical sense, so I thoroughly enjoy
seeing the creative expression of others who are.

Misty @ ...Sevens... showcased her crafting talents with
this fantastic chipboard wedding album.

Quite impressive!

I never tire of seeing the lovely handiwork of the
multi-talented Betsy @ My Salvaged Treasures.

She makes the most marvelous
jewelry from found objects!

Penny @ Penny's Vintage Home has filled her guest room
with so many tempting treasures, it's hard to pick a favorite.

But being the junk maven that I am, if I must choose,
the section of old bed spring used as wall art tops my list.

Now, impress us again this week!
